Namhae-do, where Namhae-gun is located, is the fifth largest island in Korea in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula.
In the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, where the southern part of the South Sea is located, about 70 large and small uninhabited islands are dotted to form the Dadohae Sea.
This area has been designated as Hallyeohaesang National Park and is famous for its beautiful scenery.

The terraced rice paddies of Gachon Daraengi Village, where Namhae people opened the hillside, and Geumsan Mountain, where Hallyeohaesang National Park can be seen at a glance, are numerous places with outstanding scenery, and Jukbangreum of Jijok Strait, which still keeps our whale's fishing rules, is designated as a scenic spot in the country.

In addition, the Mul-ri Embankment, which has been installed since ancient times to block sea winds and drive fish, has been designated as a natural monument, giving a glimpse of Korean tradition. I will introduce you to the beautiful scenery surrounded by the sea and the most Korean-like Namhae.

1. Beautiful terraced rice paddies facing the sea, Gachon Ttaengi Village

The coast of Nam-myeon, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, is a place with many cliffs, and in the past, it was only a barren land that attacked the rough sea.Gachon Daerangi Village in Nam-myeon is also a place where Seolheulsan Mountain, 480m above sea level, rises behind the village, and cliffs are far away toward the sea.

Despite such poor conditions, the people of Gachon Daraengi Village continued to clear up and create a village with wonderful terraced rice paddies like today.

Now one of the most Korean landscapes, the terraced rice paddies, has become famous for their beautiful places.
A terraced rice field is a terraced rice field made by cutting the slope of a mountainous area where rice fields cannot be cultivated, and various types of rice fields are terraced according to the topography.

If you go further along the side of Darangi Village, you will find a two-pronged road that is divided into a promenade called Darangijijigil and a beach beyond the terraced rice field.
"If you walk along the road to the beach, you can see a suspension bridge between the rock and the rock, and you can see the beautiful white waves on the beach."

Among them, the most famous coast in Namhae is Sangju Eunsa Beach in Sangju, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

The name of the beach, "Eunmore," comes from the spread of white sand that is so beautiful that the sandy beach shines silver. The crescent-shaped coast is surrounded by beautiful pine forests for about 2km, and you can also see a small island called Mokdo floating in the southern sea 2km from the inside of the bay where the beach is located.

The beach is located in the bay on three sides, surrounded by mountains and capes, so the bay where Sangju Eunsa Beach is located is far away and is a perfect place to swim with calm waves.
In addition, Dumo Village, a beach village about 3.5km northwest of the mountain of Eunsa Beach in Sangju, is famous for its various water leisure activities.

The fish species that can be caught in this way are mainly anchovies, and there are also hairtail, saury, porpoise, and shrimp. Anchovies caught here are called Jukbang Anchovies, so they go out to the country as the best.
